The Runes are an ancient form of Divination (consulting an Oracle) much like using tea leaves, tarot cards, and such) This is not having your fortune told but more of consulting the Rune Stones which provide a "mirror for the magic of our knowing selves", a meaning of communication with the knowledge of our subconscious minds. It is often describe like having a conversation with yourself.
